Product Features

The AMD Kintex-7 is a family of 28-nanometer field-programmable
gate array (FPGA) chips built by Xilinx (now part of AMD) that offer high
performance and low power consumption for digital systems. An FPGA is a special
type of integrated circuit chip that you can program and configure after
manufacturing to perform custom hardware and logic tasks.

Key Architecture and Features

  • Logic Fabric: Built with
Configurable Logic Blocks (CLBs) for parallel data processing.

  • Memory: Includes dedicated Block
RAM (BRAM) for fast data buffering.

  • DSP Slices: Contains dedicated
digital signal processor (DSP48E1) slices for heavy math operations and
    fast filtering.

  • I/O and Speed: Supports high-speed
serial transceivers (up to 12.5Gb/s) and interfaces like PCIe Gen2/Gen3
    and 10 Gigabit Ethernet
